Describe your product or service:
“Our intelligent assistant helps generate … any business routine document [by voice only] and manage document workflow in the company.”
Describe your company values and mission:
“Our mission is to help AI for business to collect … valuable data using voice [to complete] business documents.”
How are you funded? I.e. type of funding, number of funding rounds, total funding amount.
“Self-funded.”
How did you come up with and validate your startup idea? Tell us the story!
“Our secretary, after nine years, left us for a US green card, and I thought to build a [digital] secretary for business.”
How did you come up with your startup's name? Did you have other names you considered?
“I had some names, I don't remember them, but ‘Fastboss’ came to me after understanding the value we bring to our users. Our users … are generating a document in less than 22 seconds and sign[ing] it instantly with their customers. We didn't find any apps faster. With Fastboss, any boss becomes faster and mobility brings a real value for business needs with this.”
Did you always want to start your own business? What made you want to become an entrepreneur?
“I became an entrepreneur 18 years ago. This is not my first business.”

Did you encounter any roadblocks when launching your startup? If so, what were they and what did you do to solve them?
“Yes, I hardly found a developing team that was understanding how to build a voice assistant completing documents.”
Who is your target market? How did you establish the right market for your startup?
“Small and medium businesses that have lots of team members outside the office and in need to do documents instantly.”
What's your marketing strategy?
“Most of our users are coming from organic search, although we bring our solutions in front of business conferences and business groups. [We have a] successful relationship with public institutions that are seeing the role of our app in avoiding bureaucracy and implementing digitalization in the public sector.”
What are the key customer metrics / unit economics / KPIs you pay attention to to monitor the health of your business?
“Churn rate — we are struggling to develop a more user-friendly interface and need to know our retention and [how] to help them better understand our app.”
What's your favorite startup book and podcast?
What is a song or artist that you listen to for motivation?
“Cyber songs.”
Is there a tool, app, or resource that you swear by to help run your startup?
“We use GitHub, SendGrid, HubSpot, Stripe, Sentry.”
What is something that surprised you about entrepreneurship?
“I am surprised by how much information is deposited in our brain, and sometimes when we need to make an instant decision in a stressful situation, we find the most creative solution.”
How do you achieve work/life balance as a founder?
“Hardly. I have three children and try [not to] work at all on weekends.”
What is a strategy you use to stay productive and focused?
“I am not multitasking. I try to plan no more than one important task per day and no more than three less important tasks daily.”
What was your first job and what did it teach you?
“My first job was System Administrator in a business consulting company. I learned a lot about marketing and business there.”
